Kann den Brickstitch Sünde sein ?

Und auch hier haben sich die Augen wieder verliebt.

Meine liebe Freundin Biene und ich wollen mal etwas zusammen perlen und schon lange haben wir das Armband im Auge.

Serpentina Armband by Ellygator

(2004) 3.5"x2", gold-dyed sweetwater pearls, green metallic iris and gold size 15 seed beads, gold size 11 seed beads, green and gold satin triangle beads, green delica beads, nylon thread

This cuff bracelet is done in brick stitch. I started with a fan around one side of the seed bead and finished the brick-stitch off with a picot edge on the outside. This technique is a variation on the piece "Burgundy and Lace"

Ein bisschen schnüffeln

auf der Seite und das Triangle Fieber ist ausgebrochen

Hilfe ich brauche neue Perlen !!!

Burgundy and Lace

(2003) 16" length, red sweetwater pearls, gold lustre size 15 seed beads, burgundy metallic and gold lustre size 11 seed beads, matte burgundy and gold triangle beads, nylon thread, cold-filled sterling crimps, jump-rings and closure finding.

This piece is done in circular brick stich around each of the cental pearls. I finished each circle with a picot edge and then sewed them together for a necklace. Brick stitich is more forgiving than Peyote if you want to combine different sizes and shapes of beads

Dragon_Scales

2009) 8.25\" x 2.5\" dark olive metallic size 15 seed beads, matte green metallic iris delica beads, matte gold metallic iris size 11 seed beads, matte gold metallic iris size 6 seed beads, matte green and gold metallic Toho triangles, green sweet water pearls, Swarovski crystal pearls, nylon thread, push-button closure

A length of circular brick stitch fans stretching out from a brick stitch circle and embellished with a seed bead and sweet water pearl picot edge that can be clipped shut with a push-button closure. The two different colors of Toho triangles give one side of the bracelet a predominantly green color scheme while the other side looks more golden, so you can wear it according to your mood.

Aurum Solis

(2006) 3.5"x2", pale gold Swarovski pearls, red gold metallic iris size 15 seed beads, 14 carat gold size 15 seed beads, delica beads (gold opal, dark bronze, satin 14 carat gold), bronze size 11 seed beads, pale gold and dark bronze satin triangle beads, nylon thread.

This cuff bracelet is done in brick stitch. I started with a fan around one side of the seed bead then added one half sun-disk after the other until I could close the bracelet and and finished the brick-stitch off with a picot edge on the outside. This piece is similar in technique to another piece in my gallery called "Slate Waves" However, instead of linking the fans up for a continuous curve here they seem to overlap each other.

I have a piece in my scaps that explains the technique:

This piece will be an entry in the Artisan Craft Summer contest "Aurum Solis" means "Gold of the Sun".

Slave Waves

(2006) 3.5"x2", champagne Swarovski pearls, red gold metallic iris size 15 seed beads, grey ochre-lined iris size 11 seed beads, slate and burgundy satin triangle beads, grey iris and rose iris delica beads, nylon thread

This cuff bracelet is done in brick stitch. I started with a fan around one side of the seed bead and finished the brick-stitch off with a picot edge on the outside. There is a similar piece in my gallery already, called "Serpentina" [link] which shows how the same technique can yield very different results depending on the color mix of the beads.
